Guess only a matter of time when all roads in SE26 , or certainly those within 5 mins walk of a station , will be CPZ'd

Venner and Homecroft classic cases. They are overun by commuters cars.

Bring on the CPZ's ,

Brian? Brian???

Yes, it's true, folks. The chimera that is Beagle (SE23's Brian crossed with STF's Eagle) walks among us.

To be fair, Brian, we all knew.

I do wish Wolfie was here to see this, though. It was one of his little crusades.

Yes I know. I never actually denied it , or I do not think so.

A List of Lewisham CPZs can be found at http://www.lewisham.gov.uk/myservices/p ... times.aspx I do not believe any of them are in Sydenham.

Cannot believe they are not justified in Homecroft , Venner , etc.

Good source of revenue for council

Yes, you did.

All of which reminds me, there is a relatively new poster on the SE23 forum who forgets to use full stops. Reminds me very much of someone who was posting here last year (not you, Brian).

Dunlop

I cannot recall for certain you may be correct. Such is life.

Can we now concentrate on whether and where there should be CPZ zones in Sydenham .

Thanks Annie
Not sure how the dual names came about a few years ago now.

I do my best to bring a little sanity to the sites , as indeed you do.

Sanity? Is that what it is? I must make an urgent appointment with my GP; I obviously need a psychiatric assessment.

There are people here who use a different name on SE23. Nothing wrong with that as long as you are not trying to deceive people. What I never understood is why you denied it was you when it so obviously was, and you weren't making any mischief with the different user names, as some people do. No trolling or sock puppetry, I suspect you were just too stubborn to admit it!

We could get back to talking about CPZs, but this is much more fun

No problem here happy to amuse.

CPZ's are not that interesting anyway. Although could do with some in SE 26, but guess LBL moves in its own very mysterious way .
Seems a great way of getting money from those outside the area who are using the station and parking all day in residential areas.

I have been complaining for ages about people parking in residential areas when they have driven from wherever just to use the train station. If they do have to use their car, and cannot use public transport to get to the station, then at least be considerate, and not park outside someones house if there are spaces where there are no properties, because I refuse to keep my eye on the car,
where as if it is parked consideratly, then I will.
I have stopped break-ins a couple of times. :)

Trouble is Annie on some roads every space is taken so if you are a local have to park many hundreds of yards away from your abode.

I agree with you Eagle,
cpzs are needed in certain parts of Sydenham, but a lot of residents cannot afford to pay for the privilege of having one, I think that bus fares should be cheaper, a lot lot cheaper to encourage people to use them.£1.35 each journey on an oystercard although a lot cheaper than paying by cash, makes a two way journey maybe using a couple of buses maybe for a short journey on each and you are talking £5.40 a day x that by 5 days and it would probably be cheaper to travel to the station by car.

Even if the cpzs start off at a reasonable price, you know what the council are like-eventually they would "make a profit" (cash cow)

Good Point Annie, although if residents in some parts of Sydenham want to park near their house something needs to be done.
