Anyone know why they can only carry out really noisy road work between 2000-2300? It's not like they are using the equipment elsewhere - it's parked on Jews Walk all day
I would have thought there would a noise regulation for this?? Really hard to gets kids (and me!) to sleep with this. Currently jack-hammers and my 4 year old making lots of noise.
Is there a councillor on this forum?

I would assume it's to minimise disruption? Can you imagine the traffic chaos that would ensue from making kirkdale a one-lane road during the day? And they clearly can't do it after 11 because that would contravene noise regulations. There aren't any noise restrictions before 11pm that I'm aware of.
I sympathise with how annoying it must be - especially with young children - but it does seem the most sensible time for them to do resurfacing work. And it's only for two weeks.
