Football training for a ten-year old?

My son has been training with the juniors at a local football team but isn't good enough to get on the team so is finding it a bit demoralising. But he really enjoys training and I was wondering if there is somewhere else he can go locally to work on his football skills? I'll probably sign him up for a football summer camp, but is there anything that runs term time evenings locally?
