A local charity, the Sydenham and Forest Hill Youth Forum need a treasurer.
One amazing person not adverse to digits. Roughly 4 hours per month, working in liasion with the charity's secretary Caroline Smith at Forest Hill library and the youth worker/development officer Melissa Knight, based at Here For Good.
Think how many hours we spend in a single month on waiting in shopping queues, or using social networks ? These 4 hours are the best you'll invest in Sydenham Town. Do it. For your fellow humans. Innit.
Duties include (as detailed by Sydenham Radio's Anna Bagahari):
• Ensuring adequate documentation for issuing cheques
• Ensures expenditure is authorised
• Check bank reconciliation to ensure no discrepancies
• Prepare accounts annually and general book keeping
• Keep records organised for audit
• Write a brief report three times a year (termly)
• A short statement of owing, paid and bank figures
Anna also says: 'It is not onerous if you are into organising. In terms of hours, we are talking about 4 hours per month.'
