Sugahill cafe's new exhibition of art by Pat Rae

A new exhibition of paintings, etchings and ceramics art by local artist Pat Rae is on display at Sugahill cafe for the next 4 weeks.

Pat is an artist whose work consists of a wide array of disciplines including carvings, castings, printmaking and portraiture. These display her sympathetic attraction to organic forms, her commitment to practical craftsmanship and skilful attention to detail. Her aim has always been to strive to express the very essence of the subject, be it form or feeling. Principally she carves stone and wood (is daft about marble) but also models in clay and plaster. The exhibition at Sugahill cafe will run until mid October and showcases Pat's two dimensional art, lovely autumn colours in keeping with the season, with a couple of ceramic works thown in!
