Bob Dylan & Bruce Springsteen at the Sugahill cafe

Post by BruceHarrison »

Two great photo's of Bob and The Boss in the taster exhibition for the Sydenham Arts Festival Artists' Trail at the Sugahill cafe.

A rare photo of Bob Dylan taken at Brighton, 2001 and of Bruce Springsteen at the Emirates Stadium, 2008 are for sale, along with most of the other art displayed there.

Also Adriana Fabin's kente prints are now on show at Kente Coffee Shop, Simon King's beautiful traditional stained glass installation at the Enterprise rent-a-car showroom and from Tuesday 14 July Walter Buchholz's site-specific art work installation at the Blue Mountain Cafe. Three additional artists facinating installations will join Simon's at the Enterprise car showroom during the week - Stacy Anderson's brilliantly observed photographs; an innovative contemporary glass installation by Esther Adesigbin and Jasmine Pradissitto's incredible paintings in bitumen or light and plastic.

This weekend sees the start of the Artists' Trail open-studios 17 - 18 July and 24 - 25 July http://www.sydenhamartsfestival.co.uk/artists-trail/

The Sydenham Arts Festival Visual Artists' Trail weekends are over and have been a great success.

The art displayed at Sugahill cafe, Blue Mountain coffee shop, Kente coffee shop and the Enterprise rent-a-car showroom will remain on show for a few more weeks. Take a look, grab a coffee or rent a car - actuallly you don't need to rent a car :) Enterprise rent-a-car invite you to go into their showroom and take a look at the art on display.

Una Joy's lovely paintings, drawings and monoprints are still on show at Alhambra, 148 Kirkdale, too. Many of them are inspired by the Sahara dust colouring the sea near Dungeness a few years ago - lots of strange and beautiful images. It would be a shame to miss them - and, should you fancy it, you can get a cup of coffee and some cake here, as well!
