Just wanted to let you know that we have some exciting events planned at Alhambra, starting with a fabulous book launch on Sunday 28 February from 3.30pm-6.30pm.
Book Launch: The East Dulwich Writers' Group has published its first anthology, Hoovering the Roof. Despite the name, the group has writers from all over South East London including Forest Hill and Sydenham. To celebrate the second print run of the book, we are having a promotional event here at Alhambra, 148 Kirkdale, London SE26 4BB. There will be readings from the book, live music and refreshments. Everyone welcome! FREE!
Events for later in the year include a paella cooking session on May Day Bank Holiday, jewellery-making workshops, children's parties and some super summer soirees in the garden. We've also started a Spanish Language and Culture group and opened a new children's section (toys etc) at the back of the shop in the tearoom. If you would like to join in or hold an event of your own here, we will happily try to accommodate you. Please don't hesitate to get in touch!
