This picture appears in Coulter & Seaman's "Forest Hill and Sydenham" - a collection of old photos of the area (not sure if you had scanned it from there Falkor?) - and according to the caption the photo was taken in the summer of 1902, during which there were celebrations to mark the coronation of King Edward VII.
