Cops With Cameras

Post by Willy »

Anyone see this last night?

There was a bit based in Sydenham involving a mugging outside the chicken shop by the Windmill. The perpetrators were arrested down by the garage (strangely heading back towards the scene of the crime which is maybe a reflection on their intelligence).

One of them was even charged and sentenced to 2 years instead of being released with a caution...

Not exactly great press for the area but at least it's proof that crime is being tackled.

I believe that episode was a repeat, and I have seen that episode. Lots of that series is filmed on the borough.

Our local robbery officers are, in my experience, very good. And a lot of resources will go in to any mugging that has just happened. So if you are mugged, ring 999 immediately afterwards and there should be a significant chance of catching the thugs...

If you leave it till later - then the chances are very limited.

2 years , probably out in less than a year. A disgrace. Should have minimum of 10 years with no remission.
