Mayow Park came 3rd in Parks Vote!

Post by mummycat »

Although we didn't win anything from Mayor Boris, there's still lots to come......

I think 3rd is a good result, even better than Penge Parks and Camberwell Green which both had loads of exposure.

Damn it was close as well, we only needed 180 votes, a real shame.

South East Parks Votes

Parish Wood Park 4234
Avery Hill Park 3112
Mayow Park 2963
Camberwell Green 2933
Penge Parks 2676
Maryon Park 2101
Dickens Square Park 1204
Deptford Park 1012

Has anyone heard anything from the consultation that happened a few months ago in Mayow Park?

No feedback yet

Post by mummycat »

Hi Ronski,

At the quarterly FOMP meeting last week, it was announced that there hasn't been any feedback yet, but we're chasing them up.

There will be a replacement climbing structure and 2 additional ones in the small children's playground (under 6's) by the end of March. Probably won't get you excited if you don't have children, but it's a sign of improvement!

There will be more to report on soon......

Hi, Shame we did not get the funding.

Are you planning anything for 'older' children? My two are 9 and 12 and Mayow Park is our preferred local park.

Such as a laid out football pitch/basket ball pitch? I always think that the area between the playground and the tennis courts would be ideal for this, it still then leaves a large open space on the other side. Years ago this area used to have cricket runs/nets.

Thanks
