I am writing to express concern about a proposed development to build two, two-storey houses at the end of the cul-de-sac, Ormanton Road.
My concerns are twofold. Firstly, it will involve the removal of three mature trees on council land, and also, a mature hedgerow, absolutely packed full of wildlife.
Secondly, it will set a precendent for the building of houses in the backs of the large gardens on Longton Avenue. There have been several applications in the past, all of which have been turned down. If this application is granted it will set a precendent which could greatly reduce the valuable green space around Wells Park.
If you have any feelings on this, please write to the three Ward Councillors for Sydenham, or post on this site.
