Palace Square , Penge

I joined Sydenham forum to track my Great Grandfather , I have had great feedback from Steve and Ali b , however I did not realise[living in Telford] that Penge may come under the Sydenham area , so my search continues;
John Curtain died at 35 Palace Square , Penge in 1931 , I believe Palace Square has long gone but it would be great to bring his life to a close with any info or a picture of the Square that anyone my have. I now realise his life seems to have been contained within a very small area of South London an area I must get to visit , Norwood/Sydenham/Crystal Palace and Penge.

I can't help with any photos but have you looked at any of the old maps of the area (which have been republished by Alan Godfrey Ltd)? You can then compare it with an up to date map to see if Palace Square has been replaced. There are some books published about the history of the area which include old photos which you might also find of interest.
