If anyone on here has lost an Oyster card, you may be the lady that dropped it this morning on Sydenham Station. I picked it up and gave it to the gaurd that stands at the gate on Platform 1 so it should be somewhere at the station. He said it was just an Oyster card inside, but I'm sure you need it. Hope you're a member on here and that you get it back okay.
Anyone lost an Oyster card??

How nice to see such honesty!
Look what happened the other side of the park when someone left a travelcard for others to use...

eek. That means I'm a traitor.
I also subscribe to the Brockley Central one....I'm such a forum floozy
That VN thread is all about the fact that someone left a valid travelcard tucked into the ticket machine. The thread leads onto a raging debate as to whether this was an act of generosity or if using the card was theft.
Don't start a similar debate here though..!

No, no debates... but I must say if the thing is left there and the person it belonged to is long gone, of course it's not stealing. Strange some people thought it was - there's no dishonesty involved in picking something up that's been left if the owner has gone!?
Anyway, no you're not a traitor... I just don't know Norwood very well so I'll stick to Sydenham.

I'm a (non-posting) member of VN too. Got to keep an eye on the competition
The debate was that a Travel Card is non-transferable so using somebody else's TC with or without their permission was 'stealing' from TfL and/or train company. Ahem I think we have rehearsed many of the issues here in the famed Bensonby/Nasaroc Ticket War.
But as ever it is up to you to decide to go round again .. or not.

First opportunity to say "Welcome to STF Barty" from me.
You won't want to read this old ticketing thread unless you enjoy brain damage: http://sydenham.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2376
