Just wanted to say - went to The Dolphin for Midsummer Nights Dream and it was excellent.
Me and my boyfriend walked home thinking of extra things the Dolphin could put on in it's garden. How about a Comedy night or screen films (like Somerset house). A soul singer belting out some tunes or someone with a guitar..
Would be a great location for a few other things like this...!
The Dolphin - Shakespeare & more...
My thoughts exactly.. me and Mr S were thinking exactly the same thing and I am going to email the Dolphin to suggest more live entertainment, we could have a mini folk-festival / pub rock / punk (whatever) weekend, and if other pubs got involved too it would be great - especially as the free concert in CP park was cancelled this year.
We're off to see Midsummer Nights Dream tonight and after reading the synopsis, more than once, I'm still confused. I hope NOT to be one of those people in the audience whispering 'wots going on now? who's that again?" or worse "this is doing my head in, I'm going inside".
Anyway, getting back to the idea of more live events, please email Michael at the Dolphin too, the more the merrier.

Midsummer magic
I agree with Jonekt and Savvy - went to the Dolphin on Tuesday and had a wonderful evening! Well done to all the performers of Midsummer - it was a dry although rather breezy evening but a truly magical night! I think the fab gardens would be a good home for some jazz singers/music. Or perhaps Comedy who knows?
