Dinosaurs – and statues – to be restored… New Dinosaur-themed play area… Car parking moved to the edges…
Major works are set to take place restoring the Dinosaurs and the Italian terraces in Crystal Palace park as the first parts of a £17.4 million contract.
Bromley council are inviting a design team to work on two parts of the park – the Lower Paxton Axis and Penge Gate, and Tidal Lakes (dinosaurs) (Site A) and the Italian terraces (site B) with a start date of June 1st 2023 – and an end date of March 31st 2032.

Back to the Future! Subway to be used for year-round events and exhibitions
And there’s more: The initial schemes form part of a massive £41.7 million ‘makeover’.
Future works include a staffed cultural venue at ground level to the parkside entrance to the Crystal Palace subway, a year-round events and exhibition space within the Subway which will include a new lift; viewing areas, etc etc:
