I am delighted to share that Lewisham’s ward based NCIL fund is now open for application from residents.
The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a non-negotiable charge that developers pay to councils on most new developments. It is used to deliver the infrastructure needed to support development. A portion of CIL can be set aside to be spent on neighbourhood priorities, known as NCIL. There are NCIL funds available for each ward.
In Forest Hill, over £65k is available to fund community projects that meet our agreed ward criteria (set at our last local assembly).
The Council is holding a number of workshops throughout October and November to provide information about the fund and answer any questions and queries.
