I came across your forum searching for information on the history of the Fox and Hounds in Sydenham. I am one of those searching for their ancestors and am trying to track down my gr grandfather who vanishes from the face of the earth after about 1901. I use Ancestry.co.uk and this has thrown up a William Charles Murrell in their phone book directory. The year is 1925 through to 1929 and he is listed along with his phone number against the Fox and Hounds SE26.
To be honest I have no idea if this is the William Murrell I am looking for but would appreciate any information anyone might have about the pub and William around this time.
