Crystal Palace

Anyone know what was going on in Crystal Palace this morning.Had to get off the bus just past Sydenham Hill,the parade was taped off between College Road and the Bluebottle.The bus garage was closedand you had to go into Crystal Palace Park near to the camping site and walk through to the exit opposite the Bluebottle.Still the same at midday.

The policeman I spoke to yesterday (about mid-day) said that a man had died but he was otherwise fairly tight-lipped.

On the radio yesterday it was described as a "police incident on Crystal Palace Parade"

I've just done a quick google and NADA. The only mentions are on traffic reports. It just serves my theory that there is a conspiracy about reporting news in this part of South East London! Remember the truck incident on Sydenham High Street a few months ago? I don't want to be ghoulish about things but it just seems to me that if it happens elsewhere in London it is ALWAYS reported whether it be someone knocked over on a road or whatever and around here we never get to hear what's going on. Hmmmm

My husband heard someone was found dead on the parade. Could have been an old or perhaps a drunk person died of hypothermia.

That's sad. I wonder if it will be in the local newspapers
