Help needed from Mac expert to transfer data from hard drive

Is there anyone who is a Mac expert? I need to transfer data (foolishly, I didn't back up) from the hard drive of my old iMac (2006 model) to my new one. I need to point out that, from what I've been told, the "power supply" doesn't work on the old one, which is why it won't switch on.

Ideally, I would like someone to come to my home and do this, rather than me having to lug two iMacs to a workshop.

Hoping there's some genius out there.

Not able to do this for you but I had issues on an old laptop before and found instructions in removing the hard drive took it to maplin and they sold me a casing and power supply so I could use it as an external hard drive and transfer all my files, maybe worth a quick call to them to still if it's possible with this model.
