Calling all DANCING QUEENS and BILLIE JEANS! Join us for our retro 80s & 90s little disco for big kids and their little kids at The East Dulwich Tavern.
If you've got the NIGHT FEVER but can't get a baby sitter, then come and enjoy our retro daytime disco for parents and their under 7s at this timeless 'old skool' venue in the heart of East Dulwich. TURNING BACK THE TIME with disco classics you know so well! From MJ to Oasis to a little bit of ...."Monica in your life"...
LETS DANCE! Go crazy with your little ones on the dance floor and show them how to get down to the tracks you grew up with, everything from 90s BritPop & Disco to Glam Rock & Cheesy Pop. Apart from the usual disco dancing antics, there will be bubbles, fireworks, competitions and many other boredom busting activities! Oh and of course a free gift for every child. You are encouraged to dig out those outfits from the dressing up box - Afros, neon hotpants and shell suits - we will make this little disco event an afternoon to remember - kids will love it too!
If you're a bit rusty and need a little courage before you really show the kids how it's done, then the licensed bar will provide you with a little help. Or, relax and socialise with the other big kids while you watch the little kids go crazy on the dancefloor from a safe distance. There are child friendly drinks and snacks available to buy to complete this fun packed afternoon.
Why not organise a meet up with friends at our East Dulwich Boogie-land? The EDT does a great Sunday roast which can be sampled before or after in the pub downstairs, kids welcome! (Booking advised for large groups).
Doors (and bar!) open 15 minutes prior to advertised start time. Facilities include a quiet room with tunnels and tents for a little time out, nappy changing facilities, a buggy park and a baby cosy corner in the disco itself.
The Disco at the EDT is upstairs, please look for our logo when you arrive. Please be aware there is one flight of stairs, we can help you with buggies if needed. If you can leave your buggy in the car or at home, even better.
Parking is free on surrounding streets. There are many buses that serve Lordship Lane and nearest train station is East Dulwich (London Bridge, Beckenham Junction, West Croydon)
