Many of these I haven't seen before.
FANTASTIC GALLERY OF OLD SYDENHAM IMAGES
Re: FANTASTIC GALLERY OF OLD SYDENHAM IMAGES
An interesting collection, including the fourth one showing all the trees while looking west up Westwood Hill. I noticed that one especially because I moved to Westwood Hill in the early 70's and a tree nearby fell right across the road in the middle of the night blocking it completely. Luckily no-one was hurt nor anything damaged. A road and gutter sweeping lorry would struggle slowly up the hill in first gear probably at 2am each night without fail so thankfully spared.
It's surprising there isn't a photo of the Sydenham railway ticket office that was on the south side of the bridge.

Thanks very much for sharing. They show just how fast and far we have progressed.... although some do make me wonder if things were better in the past (certainly the aesthetics of the High Street)
