Dacres Wood weekly walks

Post by dacreswood »

On our web site we're planning to publish each week a collection of photos showing what's happening in the reserve, and I've just posted for this week here

Walking round today I realised I could also have been doing some litter picking, or even with the right tools, some conservation work, e.g. getting rid of the invasive laurels. If anyone wants to join me in this, PM me here, or leave a comment on our web site.

By the time you get round to this, I might even have put a contact form up there :)

Here's how it's looking today. There's definitely a flush of green appearing as I look down the length of the pond

It was great meeting up with Ema Felix of the Secret Adventurers club on this last walk, and learning about the Facebook groups she'd set up for the Friends of Dacres Wood

so now I'm an admin on that group, and she has editor rights on our web site

Won't be long before this photo

And this week, in our April heatwave

Shame the peacock butterfly didn't give me time to focus on it before flitting off.
