Hello! The wife and I have just seen what appears to be a red-winged parrot in Mayow Park. It was in a tree with a wooden box on it, next to the path, on the left hand side, if you were walking towards the bowling club house(?) and away from parkside penthouses. I couldn't tell you what branch, but it seemed quite settled in (cup of tea, etc).
If anyone has lost it or if you are just interested in the diversity of sydenham wildlife there it is.

Oh yes we all know him, in fact he is a parakeet, name of Dave. Lives there with his lovely wife Maureen and two chicks. Works up in the City.

I saw a pair of green parrots over in Clapham the other day, looking perfectly happy- I always wonder if they can be warm enough.
