Proms in the park - a positive thread about our area!

So who went, and who enjoyed it?

I know it was organise by the evil LDA and took place at the ugly concert bowl, but some of you MUST have some positive comments about the programme! Especially the afternoon practice sessions - which were totally free! Can't say better than that.

:D
My family and i attended Last night and i must say we had a smashing time,Its the first time we have been and all of us will be going again next year if it is going to be the same type of event,
the atmosphere was friendly and pleasant,Although i was a bit miffed that i took it as a letter of law that you could not bring chairs if you had tickets for the grass area, but i see most people took chairs regardless, so i will be joining them next year!
apart from that i honestly can say GO! next year if you have the chance i certainly will. :D

I went to the first night, Grand Opera Gala. Have never been to anything like it before but am so glad I did. It was really impressive, good fun and I would definitely go again next year!

Proms in the Park

My son & I went along in the morning rain to hear the RPO Noisy Kids Free Concert- along with an encouraging number of stalwart souls in macs. Wonderful that this is right here for us, and I'll look forward to it next year, my husband was playing for this and he enjoyed it as well- especially the commute home..!

If you like animals and music, please combine the two and come to the 4th October World Animal Day Concert I'm singing for at 7:30 pm on the 4th October at Christ Church, Highland Road, Gipsy Hill, SE19.

It's in aid of Naturewatch Foundation, which does a terrific job of promoting compassionate treatment of animals in the UK and in Europe, as well as producing a really handy guide to all the animal friendly products that are available. It's also in aid of the Goodliffe Hall Regeneration Project, at Christ Church.

Tiramisù will be performing opera arias and lighter songs, all accompanied on the accordion, check out www.alexandracarter.com or www.mazaika-music.com to see more about the performers.

It will be a lovely evening and each £15 ticket includes a free glass of wine, nibbles, and a mini goodie bag from animal friendly companies for each guest.

Tickets are now available online thanks to Dawn at Naturewatch at: (please copy & paste into your browser)
http://www.naturewatch.org/shopping/bas ... action=Buy

If you prefer you can send a cheque for £15 made payable to Christ Church at Gipsy Hill PLC to Eileen Digby-Rogers at 13 Gipsy Hill, SE19 1QG.

It would be fantastic to see all of you there! Thank you for all your support,

All good wishes,
Alex
