Estate agents

Post by Thomas »

You might be aware that Foxtons will shortly be opening a branch in Dulwich (on Lordship Lane). Yesterday I got a letter offering me 0% commission if I was to use them to sell my property - I think they are doing this largely to get some local properties on their books. I don't think there are any nasty catches to their offer though you might well wonder how keen they will be to sell without their usual commission. Just for the record I'm not planning to sell my property and I don't know how they got hold of my contact details.

I live in Upper Sydenham so their offer might well have gone to other Sydenhamites, which has led me to wonder if we will soon be seeing loads of those mini coopers in their colourful livery rushing around SE26 and rebranding Sydenham as "Dulwich borders"?

I often get letters from various Estate Agents telling me someone is looking to buy a house just like mine and I should consider the agency for the sale.
If that's the case, why is there a house 2 doors away, excatly like mine which has been on the market for a few months now !!! :P
