LET’S ARGUE FOR THE ARTS: creating a manifesto for the arts within learning

We would be delighted if you could join us for our arts education, networking and AGM event for 2014, the focus of the event will be to look at different opinions and implications regarding the new curriculum and its impact on the arts.

Through provocations and discussion groups, we aim to create a manifesto for the arts within learning. It is a free event and will be held in Trinity Laban, Creekside on Thursday 30 January 4.30 -7.30pm and there will be opportunities to chat over drinks and canapés.

We are very pleased that Henry Ward, Head of Education at Southbank Centre, and Former Deputy Head Teacher, Director of Art at Welling School will be contributing and we will have specially made cartoons from Martin Rowson, Political Cartoonist for the broadsheets.

There is more information online here: http://www.leanarts.org.uk/events/bette ... rriculum-0

This event is free and there will be opportunities to chat with other practitioners and educators over a glass of wine and is for all of those involved in arts education in Lewisham; teachers, creative practitioners and cultural organisations, youth workers, council officers, health professionals and more.
