Heard via the grape vine, that a mobile phone mast is being placed at the above church, the vicar is being paid alot of money and a play group is being closed down.
There is an application for a mast and a bit of a campaign against it. Its not the vicar thats getting paid, but the church and, as I understand it, the money will be used to rennovate the church and the hall. have not heard anything about the playgroup being closed down though.
Ok, I believe the playgroup is being closed down today, maybe due to the fact that work is being carried out as a result of the money made from the mast. The carers are losing their jobs and the children will have no where to go.
