Sydenham Artists Trail

Post by Chris Best »

We are at the halfway point of the three weekends of fabulous work from Sydenham artists - when you come to Mayow Park today why not take a look around the venues in The Thorpes - http://www.sydenhamartsfestival.co.uk/2 ... il_web.pdf - or follow @SydArtistsTrail.

There is a wonderful range of arts and artefacts - at great value for money as no commission.

Included our professional artists as well as talented semi professional artists from CEL. Enrolment for Community Educucation Lewisham for September has now started and if you want to try your hand at pottery, glasswork, jewellery, eching of many other courses on offer take a look at the course guide online - http://www.lewisham.gov.uk/myservices/e ... fault.aspx

Also please bear in mind that the Sydenham Artists Trail extends across the whole of Sydenham and Forest Hill and we are mostly open over the coming weekend. There will be 24 venues open, and not all are in The Thorpes! There is life outside of The Thorpes Councillor Best! Halifax Street off Kirkdale has 9 artists at one venue, so you can see a wide range of art in one go, all at affordable prices. So please come along!

Absolutely Hillman - just an opportunity last Sunday with the well attended colourful Edwardian wacky races in Mayow Park.

Garden artists trail open until 5pm today so a few hours left to see some wonderful displays in Sydenham, Kirkdale, Forest Hill and surrounding areas!
