Lol predictive text strikes again. I was about to change the morphine for the intended morph, but I'm leaving it, as I think it could be an interesting party, and lennon might approve.

I'd assumed it was a reference to the Beatles' druggier phase.
As the tension mounts I wonder if Shannon's, Alexandra Nursery or even Secret Garden could be persuaded to plant and maintain it ?
These things are so much a matter of taste but we really need someone with some vision and plant knowledge to take a grip . Tempting as Tim's lead-infused strawberries sound , we need some year-round interest which means shrubs , herbaceous perennials and grasses .
Lets hope it is done with love .
Good afternoon

Excellent suggestion - they are local , not for profit and absolutely well placed to do this .
If they adopt this project I hereby pledge to lend a hand .
The risk would be that Riney plant what can only be called "Low Maintainance " . People always overestimate the amount of work needed to keep planting looking good - the key is good choice of plants and that's where Grow Mayow could come into the picture .
A very good evening

I called into the Riney office on Sydenham Road about this and asked who to contact about the ideas on this thread. I was told either Chris Best or the Sydenham Society, so let's hope they can do something.
Thanks Tim. Let's hope something can be done. It's a shame it's not populated with colourful flowers/plants now, in the height of summer, when it can be at its best.
