Sorting out the bins at Crystal Palace Park

Some of you might not be aware that there's currently a campaign to sort out the bin problem at Crystal Palace Park. Essentially, the bins get full to overloading at weekends, which the foxes then shred.

There's a petition here http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/b ... alace-park, which it would be great if everyone on here could sign.

There are - slowly - movements within the park organisational structures to deliver some kind of solution. However, Councillor Colin Smith, (bless him) suggested that "Ill disciplined and ignorant people (from many other South London Boroughs who contribute nothing) not the Council cause the mess, LBB remain committed to continue clear up after them as best it can, despite its ever diminishing funding from the coalition central government".

To help disabuse Councillor Smith of the notion that people, and not park infrastructure, are largely to blame for this mess, I've been taking snaps of the bins on recent Monday mornings. Enjoy http://www.flickr.com/photos/11579632@N05/!

I am not clear what you are saying - your last sentence reads as if you think it's the people's fault, not Bromley - is that what you think?

Your photos seem to show that LBB needs to empty the bins on a Sunday night (in summer at least).
