For some reason this story of the conman selling the pseudo-scientific devices to Iraq reminded me of our holistic friends on Newlands Park.....

That looks like Donald Sutherland.

It is. It's a line from Kelly's Heroes.

Re: Bomb Detectors and Newlands Park...
Accidently watching Channel 4 about the utterly bonkers world of Scientology. It makes me feel a bit uneasy.... but it's ok...just crazy americans.... right?
... then it occured to me that the E-Meter they use to measure your stress levels and contamination with Thetans (alien souls...).. is the same as the Bioresonance machine being used round the corner on Newlands Park!
Ah, it seems this bioresonance nonsense was 'invented' in the late 70s by a german doctor.... who was a Scientologist!

Great journalism by the telegraph yesterday.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/11211 ... pathy.html
Written by a medical or health writer?
No this advertorial is concocted by Anna Murphy, a fashion journalist whose bio says
"Stella's editor is happiest in a cashmere cardi and vintage jewellery. By night she loves her Dries Van Noten heels, by day she runs for the bus in Prada flats."
This covers it nicely:

I think for balance someone from Newlands Park Natural Healthcare Centre should come on a public forum and defend their business practices.
