LOCAL PLANNING APPLICATIONS

RAILWAY TAVERN TO BECOME 'THE PAVILLION'
http://acolnet.lewisham.gov.uk/LEWIS-XS ... mkey=67068

It has some pretty naff coach lights on it that are from a different era to the buildings architecture, the signage is poor, the hanging sign is standard off the peg and inferior to the 1980's version from the previous Brewery. A real missed opportunity to do something really great. The new name makes sense as it will be a sports bar, but it's nicer when the name has some history to it. A HUGE missed opportunity.

AN EXTRA STORY FOR TANGS, 58 SYDENHAM ROAD.

UPVC WINDOWS IN 34 SILVERDALE

SOME PRETTY CRAPPY SIGNAGE AT UNIPLAN:
http://acolnet.lewisham.gov.uk/LEWIS-XS ... mkey=67221

It's a shame they dont use this opportunity to amend the sign to be the same level as the one next to it. Also I'd object as they are removing the shop number. This should be a legal requirement to display the number of the shop.

A NEW ALL GLASS SHOP FRONT FOR UNIPLAN:

They are spending a lot of dosh! Can the Sydenham society propose that they make this amend of the number and align the shop sign and shop front with the businesses next to it. I hope they know these shop fronts are cold in the winter due to the large unsealable gaps around the door, I hope they don't sit near the door!

AN INTERESTING LARGE DEVELOPMENT IN WELL PARK ROAD (ST CLEMENTS HEIGHTS):

SCOPE are having a new sign (but not shop number).

RETROPECTIVE PLANNING APPLICATION FOR PAULROS

There is a pretty underhand design statement by some architects for this who should know better.

APPLICATION FOR ATM IN LOWER SYDENHAM in the ugly, awful off license:

Ram raders delight!

There are a hell of a lot of applications for the Greyhound!

Any comments post them here and sed them to planning@lewisham.gov.uk

Did you pick those particularly for a reason?

Here are a couple of others of interest to some people in Sydenham:

Miriam Lodge, which is in SE26, even if it is in Forest Hill ward.
Additional 60 hostel places on top of the existing 125 places.

Sydenham School rebuild http://acolnet.lewisham.gov.uk/LEWIS-XS ... mkey=66969
A substantial project to demolish the unlisted tower block and build a more modern school.
