Ladywell Fields and River Ravensbourne

Calling all artists - London Bubble Theatre Company are putting on a celebration of Ladywell Fields and River Ravensbourne, the people who use the space, and the flora and fauna as well as river life.

They are looking for artists - of mixed persuasions - who have an eye for use of outdoor green space, a love of community engagement - be it participants or audience - and collaboration with fellow arty folk.

I happen to be coordinating the event, which is booked in for Sunday evening, 16th September (just two days before my 30th birthday). The event will take place in the evening so as to create a magical and inspiring ambience with clever lighting. Bubble are looking for actors, musicians, spoken word, visual, choir, movement, sculpture…the key is that the end product is inspired by the space/geography/nature/local people and not simply existing work to be displayed. That said, existing work can be used in new and fitting ways. As a wise man once said to me: “All things are possible when we have a conversation” and I’m in the Bubble office tomorrow from 10am, so talk to me!
