Dartmouth Tandoori

Post by RichardF »

Have you visited the Dartmouth Tandoori at 61a Dartmouth Road yet? It recently opened under new management.

It's a competent little restaurant and it never fails to delight. When Badsha, formerly manager of the Dewaniam in Stanstead Road, opened here on the site of the less successful Cafe Jeera, the prospects might have looked unhopeful, but it is a testament to his skills as a restaurateur that so many customers have migrated to the Dartmouth Tandoori with him. What's more, it's now an easy walk from Sydenham.

The menu contains not just the usual popular dishes, cooked to a very high standard, but also such interesting additions as duck and venison. All the food is presented beautifully with great attention to detail. The service is extremely friendly, and even the poppadums are unusually good.

I can't recommend this establishment too highly - I go there at least twice a month myself!

We use the take-away service and it's really really good. I hope it continues
