GOOD behaviour on 202 bus

Post by alywin »

Well, we have threads about bad behaviour on buses, so I thought I'd counteract the general impression a bit :).

Yesterday, I got on a busy 202 bus in the High Street, travelling down towards Sainsbury's. I was pleased to note a number of instances of a) children being moved onto accompanying adult's lap to let someone else sit down; b) people actually vacating the disabled seats to let someone elderly or disabled sit down, and c) teenagers (I suppose) giving up their seats to older people.

Nice to see some courtesy for a change: makes me feel that all is not entirely lost ...

Acts of unsolicited courtesy or kindness occur all the time (that I've witnessed and experienced).

I have to say, I think the 202 bus route is the friendliest in the world. The drivers are great and generally the passengers are friendly. They should be awarded some kind of medal. We should get them on Robert Elms or something.
