We are fortunate to have an exhibition of Carol Edgar's delightful prints at Sugahill cafe.
Her inspiration is drawn from natural observation and the subject matter is varied though there are recurring themes around plant forms and landscape. She works towards simplifying her chosen subject aiming to capture its essence through the use of colour, texture and simple forms.
Carol is a local artist who has a permanent exhibition of her work at the Skylark Gallery in London.
As a printmaker, Carole specialise in the collograph technique, drawn by its spontaneity, versatility and potential for experimentation and combination with other printmaking methods.
For more information on collograph and to see more of Carol's work take a look at her website http://www.caroledgar.co.uk but of course there is nothing better than seeing the real thing on display at Sugahill until the end of March.

Re: New exhibition at Sugahil cafe & gallery
Only 2 weeks remaining.
This is your last chance to look at Carol Edgar's collorgraph's and a few etchings, watercolours and digital prints left in the gallery from Gill Dove's exhibition earlier this year.
Enjoy!
