It would be interesting to hear peoples views, regardless of political persuasion as to the behavior of the Party leaders in the last few days debacle.
I for one think that Brown as behaved with great dignity, and any posturing has been forced on him by the likes of Mandleson and his cronies.
I think Cameron has apppeared genuinely concerned for the good of the country, whether you agree with his policies or not.
I think Clegg has done himself untold damage, has not put the countries needs in front of his and the Libs Dems wishes. I relate this to his dealings with both Labour and Conservatives.
Which Party leader ?
I'm not sure about Brown behaving with great dignity - if the reports of him shouting down the phone to Nick Clegg at some early stage are true. As for Nick Clegg, I'm not sure what else he could have done; if the Labour Party was indicating an interest in talking, how could he have ignored it? I agree that in one way or other, the Lib Dems are now very vulnerable, but I think this has been inherent in the situation, not the behaviour of Nick Clegg. I do agree about David Cameron, though.

Chazza, you're still wrong.
Constitutionally the outgoing prime minister can't go until the next one is lined up. Otherwise we'd have the Queen in charge and if she's she was left with the power for any length of time there's a major risk that after a gin or two, she might run off and invade France.
So ... Gordon had to wait for the call from Gleggeron before leaving.
Dorian, it wasn't the Mirror who had a big headline saying 'Get out Gordon'
