What to do with old clothes?

Hi everyone!

I've moved very recently to Sydenham and unpacking made me realise that I have some clothes I would like to give away. I wouldn't want to throw them away, is there any place close by that accepts old clothes, either to give to other people or recycle?

there are a number of charity shops on the high street, from scope to cancer research, so you can choose the charity of your choice (they are normally happy to accept all clothes, if they are in a decent state).

if you want your clothing donation to be of more local benefit, there is the st christophers hospice charity shop, at the top of the high street, opposite the greyhound.

There are also 2 recycling places I know of, one outside Forest Hill Pools, the other on Westwood Hill (near the junction with Longton Ave.)
