Hi all does anyone know when this was demolished it's clearly visible in the phoenix tower film

Extremely late reply. But I've not been on here in years.



You're correct that is shown in the Phoenix tower but if you look very closely, once the tower has just been completed the North Wing was no longer extant. I'm not sure the exact date it was removed but you can work out from that it was removed around 1955.

I have seen one timeline that says it happened in 1952/53 but that can't be correct because it's seen in that footage from 1954.
