Loft conversion question

We are thinking of having a loft conversion and are trying to find out the criteria for building up to boundary walls. I can find information regarding dropping back 20 cm from roofline but nothing about the side walls. If anyone has any definitive information on the criteria that Lewisham planning will accept that would be appreciated. Thanks
