The Moustache
The Moustache
Just had a lovely lunch at The Moustache, the new cafe on the corner of Kirkdale and Dartmouth Road. It's run by the same people who ran The Montage in Forest Hill. Great coffee, lovely food, good atmosphere (similar to the Montage with vintage furniture and 20s-40s music). Lots more space than you'd expect because the basement is done up too (and has windows because of the hill) and a room with games for children. Great addition to the area.

Re: The Moustache
Why the name 'The Moustache'? Sounds a bit stringy and unhygienic to me.
Re: The Moustache
No idea. It is neither stringy nor unhygienic.
Re: The Moustache
Also dislike name but pleased for locals as sounds great
Re: The Moustache
We popped in for a coffee on Saturday evening before going off to a restaurant and wished we had stayed at The Moustache.
Great coffee, beautifully candle-lit and just really relaxing. Big thumbs up here.

Couldn’t agree more with the above - we went a few weeks back and had some lovely wine, coffee and delicious quiche and cake and stayed longer than anticipated just enjoying the relaxing surroundings (might have just been lucky it wasn’t full of kids that day lol!)
Re: The Moustache
Kids seem to be in the basement play area so not a disturbance. Though there is also other seating in the basement.
