TV reception problems

Post by alywin »

Is anyone else experiencing problems with TV reception (Freeview) at the moment? I've had Channel 4 freezing on me for the last couple of days, and even "No service" showing on ITV1, C4 and 5. BBC1 and 2 seem to be unaffected. I'm wondering if there's a problem with the Crystal Palace transmitter or something.

Mine's fine, though I am using an indoor aerial. If your's it outdoor has it perhaps moved in the weather?

No, mine's indoor too (I don't think you need any more than that with a line of sight to the mast, do you?). It's been afternoons both days this week: I forgot to go and look tonight and see whether it affects evening programmes as well.

Mine plays up occasionally but it's fine at the moment; also an indoor aerial. Sometimes, dramatically moving the aerial's position works, as opposed to gently tweaking it. Then the same happens after a day or so and it has to go back to where it was. Maybe it's the weather or moon phases as I haven't been able to pin down a reason.

Really bad again tonight - 3, 4 and 5 all pixellating and frozen, no problem with the BBC.

Mine was OK yesterday, but the evening and overnight on 8th was dreadful. Weird isn't?
