I know the feeling of getting home too tired to cook... or what I am cooking today question!!
So why not order a take away of home cooked food for a change... one that you didn't have to cook!
Keep an eye out because I will be posting a menu every week with delicious dishes for you to try! Go on don't be shy put your order in Today
Very interesting idea. But how does this work? Do you cook the food at home and deliver? Also, how do you plan how much to cook? And what sort of prices are we talking?
Yeh I will be cooking a batch depending on how many orders I get on the website! U put a link there click on it and have a look at the menu, the prices vary depending on what I am cooking my menu for today is £12 with a main and a desert! All is cooked in my home but it's pick up only for the time being, that gives you the opportunity to come in my home and check where I cook I'll welcome you with a drink a little chat and then you go home to eat. If there is a day you are sure you can't be bothered to cook you can contact me and I can cook for you
Do you know about Beer Rebellion bar's "pop-up kitchen" policy? They invite different local chefs/street-food operators to provide the food at the weekend. I don't think they've ever had Portuguese cuisine...
Can you confirm whether it is one menu that's available every day for that week, then another for the next week? Also, the website says "1 portion", so that means £12 per person? It seems a touch high for an everyday meal so thought it worth asking.
As you live in Sydenham, you might have noticed that it's quite busy around the 5.30 to 6pm time. Would you catch some of that traffic if you started a bit earlier than 6.30pm?
I will be cooking a different menu once a week unless I say I am cooking one specific menu 2 or 3 days in that week for now I will only be cooking once or twice a week just to see how I get on. I will also repeat menu from time to time so you can eat something that you have missed out before and I'm open to suggestions!
One portion is for one person my portions are considerably big if you don't have a big appetite I guess one portion would be enough for two. With regards to the price I will consider putting the price down just bare in mind that most of my ingredients are good quality and I try to get the best I can plus you will often be paying for a starter and a main or a main and a desert! If you were to go to a restaurant to get the same dish you would pay more for just the one!
Thank you for your feedback and like I said I will be reviewing the prices and I hope you get to order something some time

Unfortunately Beer rebellion staff said that they are closing the pop up kitchen. Bit of a shame.

Maybe there are logistical reasons why doing food there is tricky, but if we go ahead with buying the lease and running it as a community-owned bar, I suspect most of those involved will want to preserve the pop-up kitchen. It'll certainly be discussed at the meetings.
