Anyone else hear 6-7 gunshots around 3.15am today? We are in Sunnydene street facing east and they weren't far away. Police called, came round and said had other reports also.
Be safe.
Gunshots
Re: Gunshots
Yes, I heard it as well (In the lower sydenham / home park area) and being a ex services it sounded like a AK47 / 74 or a variant. I didn't hear any motor vehicles afterwards like a car or bike / moped which would be the norm but it defiantly was firearms (Maybe it could of been blanks ?)
Re: Gunshots
Yes def semi-auto or more. Not seen any news.
Re: Gunshots
Scary. Are they even old enough to legally own a gun?
Re: Gunshots
Wow, that's one street over. Thought they were close! Can't believe age of the kids...

Re: Gunshots
At that age, they should not even be out at 0345am let alone with a gun. #ParentingFailalywin wrote:Scary. Are they even old enough to legally own a gun?

Re: Gunshots
Blaming the parents without knowing the facts seems rather harsh. Parenting can be an impossibly challenging task. Who knows what difficulties these boys' families (assuming they had any) were having to cope with?

Re: Gunshots
With all due respect, no one has said it's the parent's fault that these kids were out at 0345am with guns and firing them into the night. We said it's a parenting fail that they were out at 0345am with guns and firing them into the night. Not to blame, but a failure on the part of the persons/authority that is their parenting figure.Robin Orton wrote:Blaming the parents without knowing the facts seems rather harsh.
