Nothing wrong with building new homes as long as local schools, transport, roads, hospitals, doctors etc are upgraded to provide for them, as as long as the architecture is of good quality that gives a sense of place or is better than what was there before.
This doesn't form what I can see. It wipes away any context or history, pays no homage or respect to anything etc etc etc.
It doesn't have to be this way. Coin street, the Oxo Tower etc are great examples of how it should be.
Lee and Eagle I agree - lots of people like the idea of living in a converted school - post office - police station - factories are especially desirable to the creative types .
I think if u can save a bit of history whilst alleviating the " crisis " then why not .
You have to take people with you and not just submit to lazy design and greedy developers looks for the most boxes per £ spent .
