Noisy out there tonight!

Post by alywin »

(And I'm not talking Zanzibar, for once). At the Penge end of the forum, we've been having a noise nuisance for much of the evening from a PA system and music somewhere in the direction of Crystal Palace Park, or possibly nearer. I presume it can't be anything in the Park, because a) it's a bit late in the year for that sort of thing, surely? and b) I'm sure Bromley would have insisted on a curfew, yet they're still going strong (and even louder) at 12.30 am.

Anybody know anything?

Sounded to me like an '80s night that morphed into an exercise class going on until 11pm in the tennis club. That stopped then I heard another load of crap going on in the distance. Seems like they're taking it in shifts. Zanzibar should be kicking out in half an hour.

That would have been the midnight walk at St Christopher's Hospice.
They posted out leaflets to let everyone know a couple of weeks ago that there may be noise etc.

I take it all back, I wasn't aware of the walk. Reading this the next morning with a thumping hangover I sound like a real moany old git. I must stop using the internet drunk.

Thanks for that - I didn't realise. Couldn't see why a midnight walk should be making that sort of noise, though. They obviously didn't post them out far enough. Do they do that for their funday in June, too, because that's a considerable noise nuisance as well?
