council flat living
Re: council flat living
I've lived on the Chulsa Estate for three years, having bought there myself. It's safe, very convenient for the park and generally a nice place to live. It's small and green enough not to have any of the 'concrete jungle' feel some estates have, even in East Dulwich and other supposedly more upmarket areas. We have occasional difficulty with a noisy neighbour but you can get that anywhere, council or not. 1/3 of the flats in our block are now privately owned, and that's probably about the average ratio across the estate.
