Alexandra Recreation Ground - what's happening?
Since 6.00 this morning, 'Yooves' have been arriving in numbers and joining an ever expanding group in ARG? Anyone know what's happening? I must say they are very well behaved and quietish. All sitting in a together on the grass - doesn't look like the usual football crowd.

What exactly are 'yooves'? How are they to be distinguished from young men or young people? Is it unusual for them to be 'well behaved and quietish'?

Beg pardon - young persons of either sex. Yes unusual in this context as ARG seems to bring out the Brian Blessed in even the most timid park visitor, regardless of the hour of the day - or perhaps it's the acoustics. Anyway the numbers are diminishing and those left are enjoying the sunshine. Am a tad concerned about what is going to happen to the sofa they have found from somewhere and dragged to their party. What's the betting it'll end up outside my house, yet again.

55 years ago used to be great place for playing cricket. Along as one did not hit the ball into The Grundig Factory.

My daughter is a 'yoof'. Her and her friends have been 'chilling out' in mayow park after finishing their GCSEs. Harmless relaxation and chatter in the sunshine.
