Survival rate of local businesses after the War?

How much % of local businesses/shops were affected by the War? Were they often able to re-open and resume business at the same rebuilt/intact location? Or was there a whole new wave of businesses that replaced former ones? In other words, how does the last pre-war directory of Sydenham compare to the first post-war directory? Apologies for my ignorance of this period.
