I've never met Simon Nundy, but I came across him at a depressing Mayoral hustings last time around, about which I wrote:
Maybe by that time Simon Nundy was flagging, but now he's back ready to put up some kind of show again. So what is he choosing to campaign on, according to the leaflet?[it] persuaded me it would be best to vote for "Sir" Steve. With the possible exception of the Conservative candidate, who wasn't really taking it seriously, he was the only one who betrayed any awareness of what leading a local government would involve. What the Green and Lib Dem candidates said could have been generated by a more or less sophisticated word processor rearranging what their activists were hearing on the doorsteps.

But for the rest, I again get the impression of someone who has actually thought about what is involved in managing a local authority, so something more than just another local pol. On looking at his web site, I discover that he runs the New Cross Inn,

and for Lewisham stresses "value for money". Then, on the Home page, under "Latest news", you get a blog about various other issues, such as employment, education, business rates, in which actual numbers are quoted.
So - I doubt if he'll be getting my vote, but I hope we'll hear more from him.
